Emotional Memoirs & Soccer Wins

Hello afternoon/evening. The last time we spoke We had just recorded our first win of the season, and I am overjoyed to say that in this past week we went on to be victorious against Florida Southern. 3-1 at home, a win that has only boosted the confidence of players, fans and coaches.

I have managed to get my paws on the highlights of both games, Our first win against Lynn, and our second against Florida Southern. But tonight is a different affair, we face Barry University (#10 in the country) at home. A very strong team who will be sure to give us a good game, but I do feel confident that with the momentum we have picked up on our home field, and a few trick free kicks we have tailored, we can beat Barry. Im predicting a 2-0 win.

Academically this week it was an average seven days. Although I feel as though I learn something new every time I leave one of my three writing classes. I believe I'm improving as a writer each day and it is partially down to this blog, which allows my inner Shakespeare to be heard, especially since I'm writing about things I'm passionate about, Soccer & Girls.

As far as home sickness goes I can't lie and say I don't feel it, because I think about my friends and family back home everyday without fail. Sometimes I'll be sitting in class and I'll randomly laugh just thinking about random nights in London. One thing I'm very grateful for is the dreams I've been having, in which my family are there. My dad has been ever present in my them, and even though its not real, I appreciate the few minutes I can be that close to him.

But I know soggy old London is still going to be there, and I know all of my good friends are still going to be there for when I touch back down on December 17th. So for now I focus on me, and do the best I can. Because I'm not just here for me to gain a degree and kick a bit of leather around from time to time. Im here to make all of my friends and family proud.

So theres a bit of emotion for you guys. I hope you were not wearing mascara when you read this (Dad). So Here are the two games I promised. Special mentions to Dominic Cutrofello for the winning goal against Lynn, even though he had no idea where the ball was, Ryan Griffin who scored two against Florida Southern, and David Gulec who blew my mind when he celebrate the assist with an airplane. I was always under the impression that the goalscorer did that.

Anyway, best of luck for your oncoming week, whether is work, school or sitting on your butt playing Fifa 12. I'll speak to you all again next Saturday with hopefully good news about a win against Barry tonight, and a win against Thomas this coming Friday. Haha, I just realized American colleges have English builders names . . . Tom & Barry.

Thanks for reading,

Ty.
