Hello Everyone, 'tis Sunday which means its time for you all to do your weeks reading. Its been quite an eventful week for me here In Tampa, and I'd like to start with some breaking news! Some of you may have noticed that the countdown clock has only ten days remaining. Thats because I've changed my flight to the 14th as opposed to the 17th. This is due to the fact that my last exam is that day, so I wanted to be on the first flight home. I'll be flying for about ten and a half hours, after a hour flight to Atlanta to stop off and get some TGI Friday BBQ ribs by myself. I've got a feeling the hours will Wiz by like Khalifa because I know I'll be coming home.
This week started pretty dull but was brightened up by a good laugh in class on Tuesday with Mr.Andrew Clare. To be honest I can't remember what it was we were laughing at, but I had a serious case of the giggles and I couldn't stop. I haven't laughed like that in so long, I attempted to wipe away the tears and regain my composure but every time I would hear Andrew sniggering next to me It would set me off again.
I didn't really do much else except for gym which was no fun. It was our last week in the gas chamber, I mean weight room! So we knew it was going to be tough. We got through it but on Friday I did not have a jolly time. We started with the usual core strength work but then for some reason we were forced to give piggy back rides to team mates, all the way around the track. And theres not much worse than sprinting a full lap with a man on your back, then finding out its a two lap race. But the pain was numbed when I witnessed Dominic Cutrofello topple on top of Anthony Carabotta on the second lap. It was one of those falls where he didn't have enough time to get his hands in front of him to stop his fall. Luckily he had his face.
It was after that race I started to feel the seasoned potatoes, and well done steak planning its route back out of my mouth. We done wheelbarrow races and went straight from there to sprint relays. I was struggling! I felt I was going to be sick any second. I finished the relay and then seasoned the race track with my lunch. The first time a work out has ever made me sick. If that wasn't bad enough, as I was throwing up all I heard was "Four minute front pillars! I don't care if you're puking!" This made me wonder how many limbs I would have to loose in order to have a good reason to sit out. Im guessing theres some sort of sick exercise they would conger up for a man with no legs and no arms.
Anyway, after that day, relief was all I felt (Apart from lower back pain, cramp and a severe case of joggers nip) because It was our last work out until the end of January. So we decided to go christmas shopping yesterday which was delightful. The night was capped with a spot of ice skating which I hadn't done in about seven years. I heard shouts of "BAMBI!" as I entered the ice, but surprisingly never fell. Its just not good for confidence when your a big man trying to stay on his feet, and theres five year old kids skating backwards on one leg.
It was fun though. Now the real countdown begins. This week I have two finals out of the three I have in total. I also have a presentation and I drama piece, where my group is acting out a play that I wrote. Absolutely dreading it. But I'm almost done, and my grades are looking good so I'm happy. There will be one blog post next Sunday, and then one on the Wednesday before my flight.
Hope you all have a pleasant week,
Thanks for reading,
Ty.
